What have the Worship Team been up to?
On 21st October, Mrs Marsh, Mrs Riley, Mrs Cooper and members of the school Worship Team were invited to The Cathedral Church of All Saints, Derby, to celebrate 10 years of Derby Diocesan Academy Trust.
There were thirty-three schools involved so the cathedral was very busy!
The Bishop of Repton led the service, assisted by The Dean of Derby.
We were there to celebrate being part of DDAT, and to see the DDAT anniversary quilt be blessed. Each school had contributed a section of the quilt, and it was lovely to see all the different parts put together.
We sang hymns, listened to readings and prayers as well as hearing singing from Derby Cathedral’s music in schools’ programme. We enjoyed listening to an instrumental solo from a pupil from another DDAT primary school and hearing a solo performance from a student at Derby Cathedral School.
We enjoyed the service very much and felt privileged to be part of it.
