Year 6 2025/2026 social action project -
The Salvation Army is a worldwide Christian church and registered charity, which has been fighting against social inequality and transforming lives for over 150 years.
Motivated by their Christian faith, they offer practical support and services to all who need them, regardless of ethnicity, religion, gender or sexual orientation. Their work includes:
- Homelessness
- Modern slavery
- Poverty
- Addiction
- Campaigning and social policy
- Older people
- Community - debt advice, unemployment, isolation
Y6 have decided to support this charity over the coming year. In order to raise money for their chosen charity they have decided to take part in the following events:
- Christmas Hamper - Autumn 2025
- Ice-cream sale - Summer 2026
